coconut

we took aly to the doctor this morning -- she keeps tilting her head to her left side and also keeps slouching to the left. turns out it was nothing serious, but that's not the main point of this entry...

the nurse comes into the room while daddy's playing with aly. the nurse is busy reading the chart, trying to figure out how she is, when the last time she was here, and was asking us why we brought her in this morning. she still hasn't seen aly at this point b/c daddy is blocking her view of aly. it comes time to take her temperature, and she says, "ok, let's take a look little peanut." daddy steps out of her way, and she says, "oh my, you're not a peanut!" we all laugh, and daddy responds, "oh no, she's not a peanut... more like a walnut, or a coconut!"

she may not be a peanut or a walnut, but coconuts are sweeter!
