one of aly's favorite things to do is to help mom with the dishes. as soon as she sees the dishwasher door slightly ajar (we use the dishwasher as a dish-rack in true korean style fashion), she makes a beeline to it and obsessively takes out everything inside of it. lately, she's fortunately learned to hand me the dishes instead of discarding the items anywhere her loosely coordinated hands and arms releases them. so now, i smile and say, "thank you!" as she hands me all the wet dishes i just placed inside there to dry.
